This educational component will allow students to immerse themselves in social work experience in Europe, East, Africa, the USA, and Canada, mainly through meetings with invited foreign guests - specialists in social work, scientists, and representatives of civil society organizations. Students will be able to get acquainted with international organizations and associations that carry out social work and ensure the development of social work as science and practice. The course "International Social Work" focuses on the following four aspects of social work in different countries: features of social policy and social protection system; social work with various vulnerable groups of clients; education and training of social workers; the role of a social worker (in multiple institutions, areas such as education, health care, etc.). Within the course, students will learn to critically analyze and evaluate the current social policy of different countries and carry out a comparative analysis of various approaches to social work using the example of foreign countries.
