The course considers the 1960s as one of the critical periods in recent history when significant changes took place simultaneously in different spheres and many parts of the world. The lectures and discussions will focus on mass protests, violence, and war, as well as economic, environmental, and artistic developments that were both local and universal in context. Therefore, this course is intended to highlight and discuss some of the events and developments of this decade while also placing it in the broader context of modern human history.
