This course is designed to equip students with the analytical tools necessary to dissect foreign policy, particularly within the realms of security, in Ukraine and Indonesia. Through an engaging curriculum, students will develop a nuanced understanding of the current foreign policy dynamics in both countries and their regional contexts.
The course aims to enhance cross-cultural awareness and provide a platform for students to apply their knowledge by crafting policy briefs and recommendations for the Ukrainian and Indonesian Embassies on matters of joint interest. Thus, students will have an opportunity to work with Embassies representatives directly and help them develop their policy of mutual collaboration.
Students will also delve into the identification and comparison of regional security frameworks, actors, and factors influencing the regional contexts in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
Furthermore, this course seeks to empower students to counter misinformation and biased narratives, fostering a more balanced and informed perspective on the security challenges faced by Ukraine and Indonesia. By the end of this course, students will not only grasp the intricacies of foreign policy analysis but also appreciate the importance of cross-cultural understanding in navigating international relations.
